Ipoh Laksa

Welcome to Ipoh Laksa

Not many people in Australia knew about ‘Laksa’ until recently. Many people have travelled to Malaysia or Singapore and tried Laksa and found that they like it very much and therefore started looking for it here.

To simplify the Laksa, there are only two types: One is Curry Laksa, which is sold everywhere nowadays, the second is Assam Laksa (Fish based hot and tangy soup), famous in Penang. Having said that, every state in Malaysia cook their Laksa a little differently.

‘Ipoh Laksa’ is a family business run by previous Ipoh residents that is why the food is very consistent with the food served in Ipoh. You will be welcomed by hosts Ricky & Juliet Chow and their family.
